I began creating Quaker Marriage Certificates a few years ago and have had the opportunity to actually work with couples having a true Quaker wedding.  Quaker weddings are unusual for four reasons:  There is no officiant, no one gives the bride away, the actual certificate is signed by all in attendance, and there is a quiet time of reflection and worship while members of the ceremony speak to the bride and groom and gathered loves ones.

Once the wedding has ended, and all the guests, along with the bride and groom, have signed the certificate, the fine pencil lines are erased, and it is then framed and hung in the house as a testimony of their vows and the gathering of family and friends that stood in support of the couple getting married.

Many of my clients are not Quakers but love the idea of their loved ones signing the certificate at the ceremony, later to be framed and hung in their home to commemorate their special day.  Here are several pictures of the certificates I've done.
